Membership in Temple Sholom
Welcome to Temple Sholom! We are a small congregation that thinks BIG! Dedicated to Tikkun Olam, we believe that we can repair the world--one small step at a time.
We are welcoming and inclusive of all who seek a place to call their Jewish “home” no matter what their background or connection to Judaism might be.
Members of interfaith families and members of the LGBT Community have a welcome home in Temple Sholom.
Temple Sholom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and participates in activities of the Reform Movement regionally and nationally. We aim to meet the religious, educational, cultural and social needs of our members.
Please contact the Temple administrator or Rabbi Ari at 860-354-0273 if your would like to discuss joining the Temple. An online Membership Application is available here.
Recently, Temple Sholom has shifted from a traditional dues model to what we call a
Conscientious Contribution. In this model we are asked to pledge what we each feel we
can afford, in good conscience, to help support the synagogue. We will not be asking
for anyone to submit any documentation of their earnings, and we will not be asking
anyone to explain extenuating circumstances. All we ask is that we all look deep within
our hearts to consider the value of Temple Sholom to the entire community, and what
each of us can do to.
